WLS brings back its iconic five note logo with TM Studios
TM Studios has created a new package for Cumulus Media’s 94.7 WLS and the evolving Classic Hits format, featuring the famous 5-note WLS sonic logo heard for decades in Chicago.
The logo has also been heard across the US on hundreds of stations, and was even the basis of the famous KIIS FM logo.
Todd Cavanah, Programme Director of WLS said: “These cuts are outstanding! Just as I imagined.
“I think these might be the best and my favourite jingles that I have ever had a hand in designing. Love them!”

“Todd’s brief was to create a package that ultimately pays homage to the amazing hits of the 80s while also hitting some positive sonic nostalgia of CHR radio from the 80s and 90s.
“This new classic hits package from TM Studios is a hybrid of modern and authentic Dallas jingle production techniques. With live musicians, plus a fully analog mix this package is designed to fit the music, but in a modern way, with a fresh new vocal sound for TM.”
