Moorlands Radio is a community station in Leek, Staffordshire. Email Tony Mullins there who I’m sure will help!
  • RickWRickW December 2017
PK, thanks. I Googled Moorlands Radio and sent them an email asking specifically to please forward said email to Tony Mullins. Hopefully whomever reads their emails makes sure Mr. Mullins receives it. Just for my own clarification you are saying Moorlands has two DIFFERENT versions of the PAMS My Home Town song? Do these two versions date back to circa 1961 like the originals? Thanks.

PK, no luck so far in hearing back from Tony Mullins or any confirmation that they received my email. Hopefully they will eventually get to it. Any chance is Tony Mullins a member of Jinglemad?
  • PKPK December 2017
Yes he is, he has at some point in the past posted the Moorlands Radio versions here via Soundcloud. Maybe search Tony Mullins on Soundcloud?

A HUGE thank you. You are THE MAN!!

    Hi Rick,

Blimey, I'm impressed - must have taken decades to amass. I think you have 'about 100' and now precisely 101......
  • RickWRickW December 2017
Yes Graham, 101 is the current total. Have you ever heard any others not on my list? Pittsburgh? Greensboro? Rumors persist these exist but I have my doubts. One thing's for sure there are not 400 versions of this song like many have speculated.
  • PKPK December 2017
The best person to estimate how many versions there might be of the song would be Jon Wolfert at JAM
  • tonymullinstonymullins December 2017
HI Rick, I should check here more often! (apologies - your e-mail took so long, I don't work at Moorlands now).
Hopefully by now you've received both the versions on e-mail. Impressive collection!
  • GrahamCollinsGrahamCollins December 2017
Rick, no harm in asking Mr Wolfert......

Hmmmm.... Looks like my "hometown" archives have been shared...

Ok, I remember hearing this jingle for Garland, Texas, I believe, and also Jim Clancy sang on it. Is my memory failing me?
  • RickWRickW July 2018
Never heard a Garland, TX version and unless it was resung years later I don't believe Jim Clancy would have been on it.
