101.1 and 100.3 Scot FM
  • Listen at 5 mins 55 seconds in:

That first jingle from "101.1 and 100.3 Scot FM" sounds like. .a cross between S2Blue and TM Century, doesn't it? At least to my ears.

    Specifically the frequency sing.

Id love to hear the entire Scot FM package similar to these two cuts if it they happen to be floating around the internet somewhere.. anyone??
  • Its Big Time Radio from TM Century, and the main cuts are available on Tracy Carman's MPF Basics volume 1 (is it vol 1???)

The full package with mixouts is in quite a few of our collections ;^) if you want a quick chat about it?

Scot FM was the regional station covering Glasgow / West Central Scotland and Edinburgh / East Central Scotland,
    hence the split TX frequencies.

When the package first aired here, it was utterly weird to hear the old "Seventy Seven, Double Yoo Aay Bee Cee"
logo blasting out from what was clearly a far newer package than the old PAMS era!

Sadly the station is long gone, absorbed into the "borg" that is foreign-owned Global Radio's "Heart" network :^[

Ian, I would love to hear the full package but not really sure I have anything to trade anymore then others don't have, unfortunately

I thought it was Big Time Radio, but wasn't sure. This is my big time Radio personal cut resing: http://www.onairdj.com/pwbtr.mp3
  • Paul, Just caught your reply as I was about to log off for tonight.
I'll PM you through the JM system some time tomorrow.

The full package for Scot FM is available as a wav download for $49. All mixes as provided to the radio station are included.

  • TC/NB, I'd passed that ordering info on to Paul earlier this morning for his perusal.

Since its the "dog days of August" and not much happening on the Forum, some "homework"
reading for anyone remotely "interested" in the history of Scot FM...
